Fly Bali to Labuan Bajo, board your phinisi, and run an unforgettable corporate programme in Komodo National Park with our crew.
Labuan bajo mice means focused corporate events in and around Labuan Bajo and Komodo National Park – from small, high-impact incentives and retreats at sea to larger conferences on land. Labuan Bajo MICE by Komodo Luxury specialises in premium small-group programmes on our own luxury phinisi fleet, with coordinated support via trusted partners for bigger land-based events.
Labuan Bajo MICE: What We Actually Do (and Don’t Do)
Labuan Bajo MICE by Komodo Luxury is Labuan Bajo’s small-group experiential MICE specialist at sea. Our core in-house expertise:
- Incentive trips, reward programmes and “thank you” journeys
- Executive and leadership retreats
- Informal board offsites (saloon/deck setups, not hotel ballrooms)
- Team-building and outbound activities at sea and on nearby islands
- Private gala and celebration dinners aboard our phinisi
All of those are delivered directly by our Labuan Bajo MICE team on Komodo Luxury’s own fleet of Indonesian phinisi yachts inside Komodo National Park.
For larger land-based labuan bajo corporate events – conferences, sales rallies, company gatherings 50–200+ pax – we act as a single coordination point and work via trusted local partners for:
- Hotel and resort accommodation
- Ballrooms and large meeting rooms
- Professional conference AV, staging and LED
- Large-scale land gala dinners
- Airport transfers and ground logistics
We do not own hotels, resorts, ballrooms or conference AV. We coordinate them, we do not operate them.
Operated by Komodo Luxury
Labuan Bajo MICE is powered by Komodo Luxury – a real Indonesian liveaboard operator with:
- An in-house fleet of luxury phinisi yachts: Komodo Signature and Komodo Prestige
- Indonesian incorporation under Juara Holding Group Limited (KBLI 79120 – Tour Operator Activities), based in Denpasar, Bali
- Continuous operation since 2015 in Komodo & eastern Indonesia
- Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 for our liveaboard/charter experiences
Our Labuan Bajo operations team, cruise directors and marine crew are Komodo-based full-time professionals, not seasonal charters.
Honest Scope: In-House vs Partner
To keep expectations precise:
- Delivered IN-HOUSE (our fleet & team):
- Incentive trips, retreats, informal offsites, sea-based team-building and onboard gala dinners
-
Ideal working group size:
- ~8–14 guests per boat (comfortable sweet spot)
- Stretch to ~16–18 per boat depending on cabin configuration
- Up to ~16–24 guests across two boats (stretch ~28–30 with careful allocation)
-
Delivered VIA TRUSTED PARTNERS (we coordinate, they operate):
- Conferences and conventions from ~30–40 pax up to 200+ pax
- Big company gatherings, national meetings, sales rallies, product launches
- Ballrooms, large plenary and breakout rooms
- Professional conference AV, large LED, staging and production
- Land galas, large group dining, and accommodation/transport for 50–200+ pax
We will never claim convention-level capacity onboard, nor promise hotel/ballroom features we do not control. For every RFP, we will clearly separate what is handled directly by Komodo Luxury vs what is arranged via partners.
Why Labuan Bajo for Corporate Events?
Real MICE Credentials, Not Just a Holiday Destination
Labuan Bajo has moved firmly into serious MICE territory:
-
42nd ASEAN Summit – May 2023
Labuan Bajo successfully hosted the 42nd ASEAN Summit, welcoming regional heads of state and delegations. This confirms destination-level capacity for high-profile events (infrastructure, security, logistics) – even though Labuan Bajo MICE / Komodo Luxury was not involved in the summit itself. -
Indonesia’s 5 Super-Priority Destinations
Labuan Bajo is one of Indonesia’s officially designated “Super-Priority Destinations” alongside Toba, Borobudur, Mandalika and Likupang. That means ongoing government-backed investment in access, utilities and tourism infrastructure. -
Komodo Airport with Changi-linked Management
Komodo Airport (LBJ) is managed under a long-term public–private partnership involving Changi Airports International and Cardig Group. - Airport operations are being upgraded over a 25-year concession
-
Komodo Airport received international airport status in 2024, allowing direct regional flights subject to airline decisions and slot approvals
-
Gateway to Komodo National Park (UNESCO)
Labuan Bajo is the primary gateway to Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve since 1991. For corporate teams, that translates into credible “only in Komodo” experiences, not generic resort activities.
Air Access Overview
While schedules change, current broad patterns:
- Via Bali (DPS) – primary short-haul hub with multiple daily domestic connections to Labuan Bajo (LBJ)
- Via Jakarta (CGK) – long-haul gateway with domestic connections to LBJ
- Additional Indonesian cities – Surabaya and Lombok typically have routes into LBJ subject to airline operations
- Seasonal/charter international routes – past and potential connections have involved Singapore (SIN) and Kuala Lumpur (KUL), subject to airline decisions and regulatory approvals
We will always cross-check current routing options during proposal stage; we never fix or guarantee airline schedules or fares.
Why Labuan Bajo Works for MICE Labuan Bajo Programmes
For HR, GA, EO, DMC and marketing teams, Labuan Bajo offers:
- Accessibility within Indonesia yet far enough from city life to feel like an escape
- Strong “wow” factor – Komodo dragons, island-hopping, snorkelling, sandbanks
- Compact geography – airport, harbour and town are close; transfer times are short
- Mix of formats – phinisi charters, beach dinners, moderate-scale ballrooms and meeting rooms via partners
The net result: Labuan Bajo works very well for high-impact small groups at sea, and quite well for mid-scale corporate events on land through the right partner network.

Interactive RFP: Request a Quote in Minutes
Step 1 – Choose Event Type
On our homepage, Labuan Bajo MICE provides an RFP / Request a Quote selector. Start by choosing your primary event type:
- Incentive trip
- Corporate retreat
- Team-building / outbound
- Meeting / paket meeting
- Gala / celebration
You can also indicate if you expect a hybrid format, such as 2 nights on land plus 2 nights at sea.
Step 2 – Group Size (Pax Bands)
Select your expected group size band:
- 8–14 pax
- 16–24 pax
- 30–50 pax
- 50–100 pax
- 100–200+ pax
We’ll use this to determine:
- Whether your core programme fits best on one phinisi, two phinisi, or land-based
- How many cabins vs twin-share configurations we can offer
- If we should treat your trip as primarily sea-based (our fleet) or land-based (partner hotels)
Step 3 – Duration & Date Window
Provide your basic timing:
- Duration options commonly requested:
- 2D1N (short taster – often too rushed for full Komodo experience)
- 3D2N (minimum we recommend for meaningful Komodo experiences)
- 4D3N (ideal for most small-group incentives & retreats)
-
5D4N+ (deeper exploration, strategy or leadership programmes)
-
Date window:
- Month / quarter
- Flexibility of ± days or weeks
- Peak or shoulder seasons preference
We will then match feasible slots based on fleet availability and park conditions.
Step 4 – Budget Per Pax (Indicative Bands)
The selector allows you to choose a budget-per-person band (excluding flights). This helps us shape a realistic proposal quickly.
Indicative onboard Komodo Luxury phinisi ranges (last verified June 2026, subject to change):
- Low / shoulder season – small groups (~8–12 pax)
- Rough range: USD 700–1,100 per pax for 3D2N
- Rough range: USD 950–1,500 per pax for 4D3N
-
Assumes full-boat charter with minimum pax and standard inclusions
-
High season / peak dates – similar group size
- Rough range: USD 950–1,600 per pax for 3D2N
- Rough range: USD 1,250–1,950+ per pax for 4D3N
Per-pax pricing is strongly influenced by:
- Group size vs boat capacity
- Exact sailing dates and seasonality
- Desired level of F&B, alcohol policy, and add-ons
- Park fees, extra speedboats, private guides, etc.
For land-based MICE Labuan Bajo programmes (50–200+ pax) via partners, typical combined hotel + MICE + limited activity ranges (excluding flights) often fall into:
- Approx. USD 350–800 per pax for 3D2N
- Approx. USD 450–1,050 per pax for 4D3N
Final figures depend heavily on chosen hotel category, ballroom use, F&B style, number of coffee breaks, offsite events and boat excursions.
We will always treat these as indicative ranges and refine once we see your brief.
Step 5 – Send to WhatsApp Corporate Desk
Once you select:
- Event type
- Group size band
- Duration
- Budget band
- Date window
…our site opens a structured message to our WhatsApp Corporate Desk: +62 811-3823-875, or you can switch to email at sales@komodoluxury.com.
From there, a Labuan Bajo MICE specialist will:
- Clarify objectives, audience profile and decision process
- Advise honestly on sea vs land trade-offs
- Propose 1–3 scenario options with indicative budgets
You can also start directly via our form at plan your trip.

- Navigation games – simple wayfinding using charts and coordinates
- Creative challenges – onboard cooking, photography or video storytelling contests
- Conservation themes – beach clean-ups or reef-awareness sessions with local guides
For formal facilitation, we can coordinate specialist trainers via partners or you are welcome to bring your own. We align activities with your themes: collaboration, leadership, resilience, change, or cross-functional bonding.
Best for:
- Departments or project teams of 8–18 pax
- Cross-country regional squads who rarely meet in person
4. Private Phinisi Charter (Charter Kapal Komodo untuk Gathering Kantor)
If you simply want a premium private setting for your corporate group without heavy programming:
- Full private use of Komodo Signature or Komodo Prestige
- Itinerary tuned to your preferences (more snorkel, more hiking, more sailing)
- Boat branded for your group (flags, signage, welcome screens)
- Flexible structure: optional light sessions vs pure leisure
Use cases:
- Thank-you trip for a small leadership circle
- Regional visit of global executives
- Intimate C-level & spouse programme tied to a larger land-based conference
This is where Komodo Luxury’s core expertise as a liveaboard operator really shines.
Plan Your Programme

- Park entry fees and ranger requirements
- Safe navigation windows
- No-guarantee policy on wildlife sightings, including Komodo dragons and marine life
Pricing: How We Scope and Quote
We do not publish fixed prices because real costs vary widely. Instead, we:
- Use your RFP selector inputs as a baseline.
- Confirm core assumptions: group size, season, expectations.
- Provide an indicative budget range and a sample itinerary.
- Refine with you into a formal proposal.
For small-group phinisi programmes, we will always highlight:
- Boat charter cost (usually a fixed total)
- Number of pax assumed (to derive per-pax equivalents)
- What is included (meals, non-alcoholic drinks, snorkelling gear, basic guiding, etc.)
- What is not included (park fees, flights, alcohol, premium activities, tips, insurance, etc.)
For large land-based programmes via partners, we break out:
- Accommodation and meeting packages
- F&B and coffee breaks
- Social events and activities
- Transport and logistic services
- Boat-based excursions (if any)

Why Work With Labuan Bajo MICE by Komodo Luxury
1. Specialised in Small, High-Impact Groups at Sea
We are not a generalist travel agent. Our in-house power lies in:
- Operating and maintaining our own phinisi fleet year-round
- Running structured, agenda-driven trips for corporate clients
- Understanding corporate needs: privacy, safety, reputational risk, and clear budgets
For leadership teams, boards, and winner groups, that experience makes the difference between “nice trip” and “strategic investment”.
2. One Point of Coordination, Clear Scope Boundaries
Corporate planners often dislike juggling multiple local vendors. With Labuan Bajo MICE you get:
- Single contact window – your dedicated MICE lead
- Integrated planning – air access advice, sea vs land design, partner selection
- Transparent documentation – contracts specifying Komodo Luxury’s scope vs each partner’s scope
We never pretend to own what we do not. Instead, we align the right mix of our in-house assets and partner resources against your objectives.
3. Safety, Compliance & Corporate-Grade Standards
For corporate clients, risk management matters as much as experience design. We prioritise:
- Boat maintenance and safety procedures in line with Indonesian regulations and our internal standards
- Trained crew and cruise directors, experienced in both leisure and corporate charters
- Clear emergency protocols, including communication and evacuation plans coordinated with local authorities where needed
- Transparent insurance responsibilities (what is covered by us vs what guests must hold individually)
We will always explain realistically what can and cannot be guaranteed – including sea conditions and wildlife interactions.
4. Destination Knowledge & Radical Honesty
Our team is on the water in Komodo regularly. That lets us say things like:
- “For this time of year, 2D1N is technically possible, but your team will spend more time in transit than on experiences.”
- “With your group size and budget, you’ll get better value keeping meetings on land and using the boats as a high-impact half-day experience.”
- “That island is excellent visually, but if your group has many non-swimmers or older guests, we should adjust the hiking intensity.”
We will tell you when an idea is great, and when it doesn’t fit Labuan Bajo or Komodo’s realities.

FAQs: Labuan Bajo Corporate Events with Komodo Luxury
What can we host onboard versus via partners?
Onboard our own phinisi (Komodo Signature and Komodo Prestige) we host small-group incentives, executive and leadership retreats, informal board offsites, sea-based team-building and private gala dinners for roughly 8–14 guests per boat (stretch to 16–18) or up to around 16–24 across two boats (stretch ~28–30). For conferences, conventions, large meetings, ballrooms, professional conference AV, large galas and accommodation/transport for 50–200+ pax, we work via trusted Labuan Bajo partners and act as your single coordination point. We do not own hotels or ballrooms and do not provide full conference AV onboard.
What group sizes can you realistically handle?
Our in-house sweet spot is small groups: about 8–14 guests per phinisi, with a practical upper range of about 16–18 per boat depending on cabin layouts. Using two boats, we can host around 16–24 guests comfortably, stretching to roughly 28–30 with careful planning. For larger groups, from around 30–40 up to 200+ pax, we shift the primary programme to land with hotel and event partners, and then add optional boat experiences for selected subgroups.
How much does a Labuan Bajo MICE programme typically cost per person?
For small-group phinisi-based incentives or retreats with Komodo Luxury, indicative ranges (last verified June 2026, excluding flights) are roughly USD 700–1,100 per person for 3D2N and USD 950–1,500 per person for 4D3N in low/shoulder seasons, rising to about USD 950–1,600 per person for 3D2N and USD 1,250–1,950+ per person for 4D3N in higher seasons, assuming full-boat charter and minimum pax. For larger land-based events via partners, typical 3–4 day programmes often fall around USD 350–1,050 per person depending on hotel level, meeting requirements, F&B and activities. We always quote specific ranges after reviewing your brief.
How do we send an RFP or request a quote?
You can start via the RFP selector on our homepage, then send details through WhatsApp Corporate Desk at +62 811-3823-875, or email sales@komodoluxury.com. Alternatively, use the form at plan your trip. Share your group size, event type, date window, duration and indicative budget per pax, and a Labuan Bajo MICE specialist will respond with clarifying questions and an initial proposal scenario.
Can you guarantee Komodo dragons, manta rays or specific wildlife sightings?
No. Komodo National Park is a natural environment and wildlife encounters can never be guaranteed. We design itineraries that maximise your chances of seeing Komodo dragons, rich coral reefs and, in the right seasons and locations, manta rays or turtles, but all sightings depend on conditions and natural behaviour. We will always brief your group honestly about what is likely at the time of your visit.
